Hi all :)

I've been starting to build up a home network recently but have come across a few issues. What I have so far is:

My pc: This is essentially the sever. It contains all my data. I also use this as my everyday pc
HTPC: This is connected via ethernet to the network. I have mapped the data drive from my pc to the HTPC (so I can stream videos and data :) )
Laptop: Wirelessly connected to the network.

The problem I'm having is that I can't map my drive to the laptop wirelessly. If I connected the laptop via ethernet everything works flawlessly it's just over the wireless it isn't able to find the network location.

The network in my house is a little strange too:

Router ---> Network 10/100 switch
- My Computer
- HTPC
- Xbox
Network 10/100 switch ---> Apple Airport Extreme
- Laptop

Any ideas?

Thanks

Umar

Some routers, my netgear does, have the option in the wireless settings for Wireless Isolation. Could your router have this option and it being turned on?

My router has the wireless turned off. Instead the Apple airport extreme is connected to the ethernet switch and it acts as a wireless access point. I'll have a look in the airport software to see if I can see any option that is along the same lines! :)

No luck with that unfortunately. All I want to do is be able to access my mapped network drive over a wifi connection! any ideas?
