I read a review earlier today. It said that thing at 4.3GHz hit a max of 72C on a water loop. What temps were you hitting at 4.8 on air?

That's an impressive overclock. As the guys above said... I'm very interested to know the temps of ~4.8 on air!

Haha, it's by no means stable. This is just pure benchmark numbers showing what it can do.

Stand by.

Hi there

Stability is in the 4.2-4.3GHz region on air but temps getting as high as 90c on air.

Seems more sensible option for air is 4.0GHz-4.1GHz keeping temps more around 75c and lower mark and aiming for higher FSB and Memory frequencies as results in an overall faster system too. :)

CPU-Z - 4.9Ghz

Had 4.95 but it crashed when saving. I'm sure with more time, it can hit 5 on air for a validation.

Stand by for /)zh benchmarks here:

Wow, I'm looking forward to coverage by CPC/B-T and on here :D

Also, come over to Uni of York Physics department, we have like several hundred litres in labs and I'm sure you could pikey some if you bought a 980X over XD
