I am getting together components to build a PC and want some advice on what RAM to install, I will probably go with 3x2GB sticks.
Mainly I use the system for gaming and some video editing.

Specs so far:

Enermax Galaxy 850w
P6T Deluxe v2

megahalems cooler

Yeh 3x2GB would be the best option.

The faster the better and the lowest timings the better.

Fast with tight timings.

Thats a dual channel kit you need a triple channel kit

Something like this

If it's not a silly question why is that better than this for example?

Its not better, the kit you have found is Triple channel which is what you need for your board and this is a fast 2000Mhz rated kit as well. If you want to spend that much then go for it... Its debatable if you will really see £50 more performance from it though

You may find that certain applications would benefit from tighter latencys, as its rated at 2000Mhz you should be able to run it at 1600Mhz or 1866Mhz at a better latency to get the best performance from your system.
