Well the sauber was in there followed by the red bull and torro rosso but then renault showed their heap and well hope it follows the usual renault way and falls apart it is pug ugly for sure.
Don't forget Force India... Looks awful!
Gotta love the British Racing Green Lotus though!!

HRT isn't exactly pretty lol,
I wonder how long before other teams have a "driver cooling" device ;)

I am too.. The cars are a little dodgy mind.. want the big V10 era back :(
Andy
Yeah, but it should be interesting with the new rules.. No refueling, no tyre warmers, no KERS above 186mph, slightly heavier cars and slicks again.
Add that to the mix of Button/Hamilton and now Schumacher and it looks like it'll be a good season!
Although, I have a sneaking suspicion that Mercedes will take it this year, with the Brawn/Schumacher combo.. Followed by Ferarri and McLaren being pretty close together after that!

We wont know until we see the cards perform. Im getting a bit miffed with all of the rule changes though.. it should be a no money limit contest with fewer regs... good old v10 days! They were the best
Andy
Yeah - I've just been looking at the times from the free practice sessions. Not a lot to go on, I know - but its all there is at the moment!

There were slicks last year...
Whoa those are some really mingin cars, the renault is the worst imho.
Renault. They seem to have the knack of designing 'orrible livery.

you think the F1 cars are bad, just watching the Porsche Supercup on Eurosport (SKY411) and they now have a rear wing over 5' wide! so ugly!
There were slicks last year...
Yeah, I know....
and slicks again.
i dont like the virgin livery but i know alot of people love it.

HRT = Hormone replacement therapy lol
lol.
Watched the quali today, looks like it could be a decent season with a few cars able to compete......mind you it looks like a few will be lapped a lot too.
yea hopfully the race wont be to boring, im just hoping everyone doesnt conserve the tyres and try to stay out of the car infronts dirty air because if that happens it wont be worth watching
What a dull race that was. :(
The lotus cars are looking rather ugly I think.
Wasnt particularly exciting, was it..
I think it'll liven up once teams/drivers stop playing it safe and get used to tyres etc.

Heavy cars was fine years ago before they brought in penalties for engine changes and gear box replacement not to mention rationed tyres.
The strategy is going to be conservative particularly early in the season due to these but maybe they will go for it harder later on. I hope so dont wanna be sat at silverstone all day for a flower parade.
Yeah likewise.. Be a bit of a wasted weekend!! But good points about the engines/tyre rationing. I hadnt really thought all that through!

Not a fan of F1 history then. They have made them to look like the old JPS cars when they were in it in the 70's.
Looks great i thought.
lotus ftw!!!
the ferrari looks the best again :( but the silver arrow aint to bad either.
i think im weird tho as i like the redbull too, my dark horse for the championship if they can stop them breaking down. they would of done it last year too but for the same reasons and it seems they still have the fastest car on the grid even tho ferrari spent the last half of last year working on this new car.
i think mac will do better but this race and the next in oz tell us nothing really as they are unlike all the other courses. wait till they hit malyasia and then we can see, as thats the first propper track and not a bunch of micky mouse bends strung together.
yea tho, playing it safe for the first race of the year or what :( i was expecting more drama and some mass carnage in the 1st corner and they was all "after you," "no, after you." only sutil and that was down to webbers smoke screen, now thats a good ploy tho, over fill the oil and blind those behind you :D
I thought Alonso looked very strong all weekend, I think he might take it this year.
It was a bit of a parade, always hoping for something to happen & then being dissapointed.
On another note......I really don't like that Jake bloke, saw him years ago on Cable telly, some gamers prog & took a disslike to him then, he just irritates me.
Instant expert, just add Jake.

Agreed.. Although I don't think he's any worse than Jim Rosental when ITV did it!
Who used to present for BBC before it went onto ITV? It wasnt just Murray Walker - was it?!
walker and blundel wasnt it? with somebody in the pits iirc.
blundell only covered a few races when brundle was busy racing lemans or wherever?
was it louise goodman in the pitts?
yup the race was rubbish hopefully aus can add some excitment if nothing else atleast its a decent circuit to watch and not the same old desert + road all over
not sure tbh :( i think all the action will be on sat again with a reliability test on sunday.
they need to make 2 stopping compulsery and only give them softer tryes so they push all the race otherwise they will just be nursing the cars home again.

I wonder if Torro Rosso are now regretting getting rid of bourdais?
When he was in Indycars/carts (what ever they call it!) he was good at saving tyres and fuel, so much so he was multiple champion!
They need to do something, hopefully the smaller tighter tracks will be better. Don't fancy watching them parade the cars around.

24 cars on the opening lap at Monaco = epic, provided the FNG's last that long ofc.

I see the bbc journalist cant tell a Vanwall from a Ferrari, Nigel Mansell driving a Ferrari thinwall special I mean its painted british racing green with a red Ferrari following it just like they used to in the races back in sir Stirling Mosses day. That was a Vanwall thinwall special and I am sure sir Stirling will put tem right on it when he gets over his recent fall down his lift shaft.

i honestly dont see why people like monaco its going to be even more of a follow the leader than usual.
if the rules dont change some noob will crash or break down early everyone will rush into the pitts to change tyres and nothing else will happen until the end of the race
