Right. Extremely strange problem here and I'm unsure of the cause.

If someone tried to load my website from their ISP's DNS Servers the site won't load. When they change their servers to those of Open DNS or Google's DNS Servers it loads fine.

Anyone know why? I can't ask everyone who visits to change their DNS Servers so any help would be appreciated.

all of the vapournet.com servers are down, using OpenDNS is working as they hold a cache and keep it it the primary nameserver fails.

Thanks.

Out of interest, how do you know they're all down?

dig, nslookup and whois combined, following by a simple visit to www.vapournet.com (http://www.vapournet.com)

It could just be a routing issue and if you've got a DNS cache for vapournet you may see them as working as well. I've tried from UK, US, France and Germany though and using standard nameservers (some localhost ones I run) I can't see the vapournet boxes.

btw, a reverse dns would seem that all the vapournet servers seem to run off the same box ....... in France

more digging, the host machine is up - but not responding to requests very nicely, this is never a good sign ......
