View Full Version : Hangover cures
Gimme what you got people.
Have a nasty hangover at the moment, and cant be dealing with work. Even solitaire is hurting my head.
Also with a couple of very large weekends coming up, few parties next week aswell i'm going to need to be able to drink, sleep, wake up and get to work fresh and ready by 7:45am.
:D

I've had a few really bad nights drinking when I've had the completely write the following day off!
But when the hangover isn't too bad I find getting as much water as possible in you makes a real difference. Get some food too, like thingy said, you won't want it, but it really does help.
It depends where you are with your hang over...
If you still raw and really cannot stomach eating, then you must force a 'resolve' sachet into your system...
If you are past the sicky (for want of a better word) stage then it has to be a piece of chocolate and an orange. Vit C and sugar, works everytime - Honest!!

Problem is, in the haste of getting to work this morning i only grabbed the loose change from my bed side table, £4.75.
Train fare was £4 and a diet coke was 60p.
I have 15p, im dying of hunger, thirsty, and hungover
Water and an orange?

Hmm i could get some water, but im worried it might loosen up all the alcohol again.
A lesson for everyone to learn here: Belso does not eat fruit :D
I think i'm stuck in the middle, im dying of starvation here. But i feel sick
If you can remember, have plenty of water before you go to bed to avoid dehydration. That should take care of the headache bit. I've heard loads about the benefits of bananas too, something to do with the high levels of potassium or something. Not sure whether you're supposed to eat them the night before or not though. I always go with something like Lucozade the next day to get those sugars etc back into the body. The trick is to replace everything you wee'd out the night before... lol

Red Bull gives you wings.... which would probably suprise the boss more than you having a hang over..!
I find eating tomatoes and loads of salt helps, after your night out, dont do what I do though and start eating cereal or stuff beyond your means when drunk, as leaving the kitchen in a state of sheer burglary often offends, her indoors.
Yep red bull next day, followed by a nice brew with 3 sugars and a ciggy!
Mighty...
todays random old post of the day BUMP!
i find an ibuprofen tablet before going out nips it in the bud LOL
best way i've found is not to drink so much that you get a hangover :P
that works quiet well that jon, but only if your a girl :P
i find the best cure for a hangover is the hair of the dog, speaking of which...hicup...wheres that 4pack gone :D
Best cure is drink a pint of water and take 2 paracetomol before bed, then you will be fine :)
tbh i cant see the point in being so blind drunk you forget whats happened the night before... much less embarrassing :)

I agree but the main part is the water as it replenishes the lost fluids that cause hangovers and in perticular the headaches.
but as i dont suffer hangovers i can usually just got to bed and get up all nice cheery hehe
dont you all hate me :)
There is only one really way that works to get rid off a hangover and thats a pint of beer :)

yep i would hate to see the state off mine lol
Never drank to the extent of feeling sick. Freshers week however has probably caused a bit of a dent in the old liver though....and the wallet :(
