Strange problem here:

ASUS Laptop, inbuilt wireless card.

When using the ASUS wireless software, the wireless cannot connect to the router.

When using the Windows Wireless thing it work's like a charm.

I either need to uninstall the ASUS software, but leave the drivers. (Not sure if thats possible).

Or set the Windows Wireless to default. And as i dont have wireless installed here i can't remember how to do it.

Anyone? :D

I always use windows to configure my wirless networks on laptops it seems to work better.

There should be a tick box in the properties of your windows wireless bit that says let windows manage your wireless network.

Tick it

either that or go start>run and type services.msc

then scroll down to \"wireless zero configuration\" > right click on it > click start.

Thats how I do it anyway! I can never find that tick box you mentioned! ;)

Yeah but this isn't my computer.

This is some standard user i need to talk through it on the phone.

Just really looking for the most simple solution i can, which wont cause any problems.

Ill probably have a look on my laptop later for the wireless box and make sure its clicked, then remove the ASUS wireless software from startup.

Sound good? :D
