They suspect it's too little too late in reality from nVidia.

ATi seem to have the upper hand at the mo. They can probably counter anything nVidia do, especially on pricing.

Like all things the balance of power will shift, you remember the A64 days. Maybe Nvidia have been complacent with their new stuff, but when your 4 year old architecture still powers the majority of Steam users you can't hate on them too much :D

meh, 5850s will drop in price week before these hit the shops then ati will do a refresh with the higher binned stuff they have kept back just and the 5890 will be born. how it will do will depend on price, im betting slower but cheaper.

1. nVidia GTX480 is currently looking at about 5% better than the HD5870...if nVidia can do some awesome driver tweaking then we 'could' see up to a 30% lead.
2. It WILL be £699 for the top tier card. US price will as always transfer straight across without conversion.
3. Probably see limited stock in March, actually fluid stocks won't arrive till May/June.
4. I have no idea on these but I could see ATi/AMD doing it and even cutting profits to a bare minimum just to stifle nVidia.

Yeah, quite a few rumours flying around. I've read much the same.

I kinda want nvidia to come out on top even if by a little bit just so I can get a cheap 5850. :D
