I have one of these coolers and I have to say, at this price bracket and especially with the super specials deal, if you are running stock Intel coolers then seriously consider getting your hands on one of these beasts. Yes it requires taking out the motherboard to put the mounting pins in place, but it is a small price to pay for much more efficient cooling of your cpu and at a fraction of the noise level.

Mine under full load is keeping my CPU at 40/41 degrees, the Intel stock was a massive 59. These results are with the cooler fan at 300rpm !! Now my case design does help a lot as I have a 120mm exhaust fan that is just behind the rear of the cooler, giving me a nice flow of air from the 300rpm cooler straight into the 120mm exhaust fan. In a mini review, the only thing I would remind people to be mindful of, is the height of this cooler. I have a fan on the side of my case and I have to be careful when taking the side off, as it is very close to touching the top of the cooler, these things are not small.

If you are not as fortunate as myself to have a well placed exhaust fan, the mounts come with the Coolmaster Hyper 212 to have a second fan clipped onto the rear of the heatsink, to give you a setup known as push/pull, that is you have both fans pushing/pulling air in the same direction so the heat is dissipated rapidly away from the heatpipes.

This heatsink is the first that I have used with the new manufacturing method of the heatpipes being directly in contact with the CPU core, and as you may be able to tell from the tone of this little write up, it produces an awesome effect.

So my advice - if you are running stock Intel - upgrade to the Coolermater Hyper 212, at this price you simply can't afford to keep listening to the howl of your stock fan!!

I'd heard these were great coolers, up around Titan Fenrir numbers for almost half the price.

Can't be that bad for the money!

Best bang for your buck cooler out there and easily handles an i7 at 4ghz!

Definately a under-praised cooler. I remember the old Hyper TX2 was a cracker of a cooler too.
