Right then some confusion that i would like clearing up is the offical title the olympic winter games or the winter olympic games.....Might seem silly but i hear the two versions all the time and wonder what it is

Well the Olympic Committee call them the Olympic Winter Games so i'd go with that

on a side note, considering the tragic news (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2010/02/13/vancouver-2010-safety-backlash-after-horror-crash-on-luge-at-winter-olympics-115875-22039409/) do you think that Google dropped a clanger with their latest title banne (http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b218/maxjaymz/bad.jpg)r?

Just a little tasteless, lets hope the rest of the games go without any more bad news

I notice they've changed it to a snowboarder now...

Any winter sports fans out there? I always watch biathlon (can't wait for the mass start, especially the womens ;)), and curling (since before Rhona Martin won olympic gold).

Well the curling might be the only chance we have at a medal...i was watching some of the coverage and the commentator was getting v. excited about a brit coming 10th LOL

I can never understand why Scotland can't compete for them selves come Olympics.

Scotland as well as Wales and NI can compete separately for football and rugby (any other sports?), so why do the Scottish curling teams have to represent "GBR"?

Its something to do with the FA in football they dont want a GBR team more than likely to do with money. If it was me i would be a proud as hell to represent either England or GBR
