audio over hdmi video on dvi

I think you'll struggle to find a graphics card with those options. Some graphics cards have an audio input which allows the sound to be sent along with the video if you're using the HDMI on it, but I'm not sure you'd be able to split the signal like that? If you want to do it that way, I think your best bet would be to find a separate sound card which has an HDMI output on it. I think some of the ASUS Xonar ones do..

But wait for other people's opinions too, as they may well have had success doing it or know something I don't!!

and use the DVI for picture like its being used on a second monitor
