Bear in mind that CPU is pulling 168W at that voltage/clock

Nice low temps Will. What speed is the fan(s) running at?

800-1200rpm on a 120mm fan is quiet, no?

My fans run at that speed and its practically background noise.

its not the motor that makes the noise its the air though the fins.

My TRUE/Nexus 120pwm is silent at 500RPM but very noisey at full speed

What temperatures does Coretemp give you?

Maybe you should try a Prolimatech megahalems
Ambient is 13 c, Single Akasa Apache 120 mm fan in a Coolermaster HAF 932 case

What was ambient when at load, will? If it was 37 degrees, thats impressive. If it was -10, thats crap.

I usually take ambient as being my hard drive temperature as that's right in front of the front 120mm fan. So its about 20C

Edit: Just checked and the ambient was actually 20C :)

My cooler actually works ;) and probably cost less :p

What temperatures does Coretemp give you?

All temperature programs are the same. Speed fan and Coretemps both give me exactly the same as AMD OVERDRIVE.

This doesn't show anything

Both of our coolers are +6C above ambient and your probably cost £10 more :p and your HT link is running slower; thinking about it, why is it only running at 1.8GHz stock?

second hand FTW :) got a couple of thermaltake fans free two from someone else, but one was not balanced properly so was REALLY loud, chopped that up into a tunnely thing which can apparently reduce temps dramatically
