A broken pack of ram? :(

It's not uncommon to have a defective stick of ram, but to have 2 from the same packet?

I ordered from you the other day a cpu, mobo and 8gb of ram in 2x4 form. I put all the ram in and my computer would switch on for about 5 seconds, although nothing would show on the screen, then it would switch off. I found the culprit which was a stick of the ram. It seemed to run fine after that but I noticed I was getting a lot of BSOD's. So I did everything, updated bios, all drivers, used old drivers, etc etc. I then tried prime95 and it kept failing, so I tried taking out the other stick of ram from the same packet and viola, it works fine now and Prime has been going 3 hours without a fault.

My PSU is 800 so I'm sure I've got enough juice. Is it possible the sticks were damaged in delivery, either to you from the manufacturer or to me on the way here, although the amount of bubblewrap you guys put in almost gives me enough bounce to make a bouncy caste!

Any chance I can return this to you instead of returning it to OCZ as I heard their customer service is awful, but I've dealt with you before with one of your external HDD and the service I got was second to none.

have you tried running memtest86 on the sticks with the bare minimum plugged in? Are you mixing ram, or running on a three channel board? You could have voltage problems between sticks or anything. Go to bare as possible with your system and then run from a memtest bootcd. Doing that will ensure you are not going to return good ram and have a nightmare stuck in RMA.

Thanks for the reply. I'm using 4 sticks of the same ram, bought at the same time. The motherboard I'm using is
Gigabyte H55M-UD2H Intel H55 (Socket 1156) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard

Won't let me take the bold away for some reason :S Anyway, I've tried all combinations of ram, if I have 1 of the sticks in it won't boot up, if I have the other I just constantly get BSOD's with errors such as Memory_management etc. I've tested with Prime, and since I've stopped using the 2 sticks I've been fine.(Edit: I've also gone through the different forums trying to ajust the voltages for more stability, with no luck) I'll test with Memtest tonight but I think that's just going to further prove that it was the 2 sticks of ram. It just seems weird they were from the same package, could it be a problem during transit? The cpu box also came a bit worse for wear and felt damp (well not damp, but cold and soft cardboard, if you know what I mean), but being in plastic casing I wouldn't have thought that would have made much, if any difference.

Is it possible to return to Aria instead of OCZ, I did see a post a few weeks back that stated Aria were going to give customers the choice to return to Aria instead of the manufacturer, but I might have got my wires mixed up.
