I wear glasses myself and wearing another pair of glasses over the top of them is just not comfy. So not something I'm interested it. The normal version of Avatar was good enough for me even if the film is a bit so-so.

Makes sense for movies, but sports in the pub? We'll see. They're just following the logic that HD got huge due to sports as much as movies.

Drunk men having to wear glasses to watch tv isn't really going to work

I don't see the point of this in pubs, just means those who are trying to enjoy a pint and perhaps glance at the score every so often will have difficulty thats to the newly necessary glasses!

maybe if your drunk enough and have slightly impaired vison it will look normal

3D home cinema is going to be the big new entertainment craze! The Sky 3D pub sports trial is simply to kick start a new service showing 3D sports, movies and programs. Expect rival display technologies to compete for market share! - Most will require filtered or shuttered glasses unfortunately. Dolby 3D looks the most interesting although i think it's public cinema based at the moment.

I have to say im not really a big fan of all this 3D rubbish, for one its not actually 3D at all, and secondly I can always see the green and red outlines even when wearing the glasses, oh and the glasses are always really awkward to wear :P

I watched bolt in 3D last year and I couldn't stand it :P

sky are just trying to justify the expense they have shelled out in filming the footie in 3d, they have been doing all the liverpool home games for a couple of seasons now and i imagine the other bigs teams home games too.

at home maybe but in pubs??? yea ok.

Is topless darts going to be a feature for 3D sports?

My thoughts: No.

This is a pretty bad idea, IMO. :(
