I agree, this is a very tough area. The only difference is the main focus of our site is going to be providing them knowledge of deals from all over the net. We'll do the scouring, you just look here:

I think this is a good idea and certainly has potential. Eventually when the site gets a name for itself you could look at charging a small annual fee to include these "deals" on your site. Make a little money to keep things going and maybe even one day a small bit to buy hardware to review to speed things along a bit. Could lead to sponsorhsip and other such ideas including freebies and kit to review from other sites. It's going to take a lot of dedication an hard work to get you there but if your willing to put in the time and effort it should be quite rewarding.
