Omni is really exciting, not a fan of the wireless control center though, seems a bit pointless.

Is it pronounced Cool -eye- tee or cool it (as in cool it down)?

OMNI, Essentialy 2 blocks (one on top of the other).. so its going to need 2 lots of thermal paste.. I can see this being a major fail!

The block and plate are really thin though, so heat should have no problem transferring through the two lots of metal. As the TIM on the plate is pre-applied, it should be pretty thin. Might not be as effective as a dedicated loop, but for the convenience and money saved it's worth a few c, which doesn't really matter anyway.

Cool IT as in cool it down :)
i really like the idea but after reading what pete posted in the other thread and seeing this i agree with andy, i can see alot of cooling potential being lost by contact from 1 block to another to a core/card.
at first i expected just normal blocks but cheaper in price (and maybe quality tbh) and then maybe like some cpu blocks where the barbs are into the top which can be removed from the face plate which is what they would be selling (basically half a block) to keep the costs down but this...well i hope the numbers are as good as the idea is.
I'm still awaiting when i'll be getting some samples in. No date yet.
if/when you do could you test it then retest after refitting the contact block to see if you get any increase/loss in performance only this (well to me any way) seems like it could be the down fall/saving grace of this.
