I'm waiting for my shiny new Aria PC to arrive.. can't wait!

Just wondering if anyone could advise me the best way to add wireless compatibility to the rig? Maybe USB adapter? Maybe stick a card in a PCI slot? I'm really clueless!

I'd normally go for a PCI card if its a permanent solution. Both will perform ok, but I always think that the chances of a PCI card coming loose is far less than a USB stick :)

Agree with Aaron here addon PCI wireless card better option as its perm and cant realy come loose by knocking unless u realy try ;) .... USB is only realy great for helping with laptops that dont have builtin wireless and if you need to use on a pc and a laptop (of course not at same time ;) )

only other solution u could try if modem is in another room is Homeplug (network throu power line) but only realy good if its for use with a desktop as for laptop u d still be bound to a ethernet cable and the plug socket

PCI is the better option as sometimes USB units arnt recognised straight away on boot. They then require unplugging and plugging back in again which is just a faff!

Don't forget the newer PCI-E option too ;)

forget that they seem to be few and far between! (unless you're talking laptops!)

Well my motherboard will be an Asus AMD 785G..

This apparently "has a pair of PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (with x16/x4 bandwidth respectively), a single PCI Express x1 slot, and three standard PCI slots."

Obviously my graphics card goes in one PCI-E slot, I want to Crossfire in the future so that takes up another (right?)... do I have a spare slot for a PCI-E wireless card? And more importantly what benefits do I get from a PCI-Express wireless card rather than PCI...?

Anyone fancy pointing me in the direction of a compatible wireless card for me? lol

There are so few PCI-E non laptop PCI-E wifi cards available (I only found one Abit one!) I would stick to a quality branded PCI one (imho the same make as your router as this tends to give less issues)

What is a quality branded PCI one?
Like I said, I'm clueless =P
My router is a Belkin54g... anyone suggest me a PCI card for that?

You cant really go wrong with edimax, netgear and sometimes belkin. I like to keep to the bigger names but sometimes some of the lesser known are just as good.
