View Full Version : No refund after over a month!
I returned an unused item during the last week of November, which was confirmed as being received back by Aria, yet still the refund hasn't been processed.
A couple of days later, I cancelled a seperate online order by telephone the day after placing it (so it was never sent out to me). Again, the refund still hasn't been processed.
I've made three phone calls to Aria and have been told 'by the end of the week' on three seperate weeks up to Christmas. Guess What? No refund.
What the hell are you playing at, Aria? Whenever I've had a refund before, the retailer inserts the credit card (or enters the details if it's "customer not present"), states how much the refund is for, presses 'OK' and then a couple of days later, the refund is showing. Over a month is disgusting and for a technology company, shameful!
Aria, are you ever going to process these refunds without external intervention?
NB: The RMA for the returned item is RMA232248
The order number for the cancelled order (which was never shipped) is EC1189323
Someone will be with you asap to help resolve this issue you have regarding the refunds.
i would like to say that the weather has been worse in the last month here in the north west than it has been in over 40 years which has cause alot of disruption to peoples travel, so with less staff they might of mounted a backlog which im sure they are working thru instead of reading forums.

I understand this marsey99, but back at the start of December, there were no problems with snow and ice in Manchester, so if the refund had been processed back then when it should have been, weather wouldn't have even been a factor.
It's more the fact that I've been told on three seperate occasions now that I would get the refund within 5 days, and each time been let down at the end of these 5day periods. Something which should have been a very simple process for Aria has become incredibly frustrating for me having to chase and get no-where, hence the reason for me trying the forum route now as short of approaching trading standards and/or my credit card issuer, I have few other options.
i have a feeling it will be sorted quickly now you have posted on here tbh, but i am shocked that anybody could be as patient as you have been with this matter.
i might of been slightley umbridged after the 1st conversation, nevermind 3.
if its more than £50 m8 there is always the small claims courts.

The matter has been passed to the accounts manager and the refund for the cancelled order and the RMA will be processed back to your payment card before close of business today.
Please accept our apologies for the delays incurred with this refund.

It doesnt matter where you go bud, I had an experience with an asus motherboard from ******. Took 5 months and a letter from the solicitor to sort it out. Wasnt impressed at all. I also had an issue with *********** about 2 years ago, The issue still hasnt been sorted and the ram is non existant. Finally we see nova... well I had major issues with 2 gpus. Both working but due to windows update caused horrendous issues. This is neither my fault nor novas as there was a conflict somewhere but it doesnt stop the fact that they were purchased for a task they couldnt complete. After calls to nvidia and all sorts I finnaly got a replacment for the 2 units in the form of a single card of equal value. When the other 2 cards were returned they were both found to not work at all even though they were in 100% working order when they were removed so all I can say is "parcel force are useless" as when ever I have used them something gets broke! A total of 7 weeks passed and everything was finally up and running as it should be. I now only buy items from places near family or locally. That way if anything goes wrong I can go in and face those directly who do nothing more than pass the buck.
Moral of all this?? It doesnt matter where you shop, you will eventually encounter problems and if you dont someone else will. If aria lose a customer, a customer **** lost for instance may use aria instead so everything should maintain a balance unless the shop in question really is bad.

The refund has now been completed on our system and should show as cleared funds on your payment card within the next 2-3 business days.

I'm pleased to say I've had the two Google Checkout alerts confirming these refunds, so fingers-crossed that when I check my credit card statement online tomorrow, they'll be there, so a tentative thanks to Aria for finally sorting this out for me.
Thanks for the comments from you other guys - sounds like Andy had a nightmare! A lot to be said for shopping locally, but sadly the small computer shop is a dying breed, so many of us only have the options of relying on a supplier such as Aria. Let's hope my case is not the norm for them.
at this time of year with more people shopping i think more issues arise but on a whole if you look thru the forums you will find that these kind of things are few and far between m8.
told you it would soon be sorted after you posted on here :)
