Hi I have two SB83G5M systems - and on both of them the fan still runs when in suspend - obviously a bit of a problem on a media centre when you want to leave in suspend to record

any ideas on how to fix this ?

thanks!!

In a pub on a mobile so i can't RTFM or STFW but i guess you can set fan speed/voltage in the BIOS
in suspend temp is going to be low, con is when running fan is always going to be high :(
explore BIOS n google :)

did a bit of googleing and couldn't find anything related to Fans Remaining on in Standby Mode.
However I did read that there were some issues with systems failing to go into standby mode S3 ( Suspend to Ram ), however this was fixed with BIOS and driver updates

Question is, are you certain that they are going into Stanby mode?
