Good:
- Made some awesome friends this year at uni, who I'm still seeing, unlike the twassocks who were in my IT group at college.
- Passed my FdA in Interactive Media
- Went on my first ever flight, to Berlin which was awesome
- Got my own car, and avoided getting the stereotypical first car (Punto, Fiesta, Corsa, etc)
- The freedom that the car gives me meant that I have been able to see all my old friends, and i have opened up to the world a bit and startd learning my way around, and drinking, but still not beer or lager. Yeuck.

Bad:
- As much as I would like to continue living at home because everything is done for me, my desire to move out grows every day, due to the fact that I'm still seeing my dad on a daily basis
- Only got a Pass on the FdA
- No money
- No job

Hi there

For me it was a year of great experiences, I've learnt a lot, become a better person for it.

The beginning of this year I started at Novatech, it was great living down south and the job was good. Experiencing living by myself, making new friends, having my own place and gaining new skills it was all very good. I left on good terms and am still friends with the guys there but I wanted to do a job where the high-end and looking after forum members/customers was a much bigger focus.

Hence why I am now at Aria, hoping will be at Aria a very long time, its certainly been a great end to 2009 and looking forward to having a great 2010. :)

I've developed a lot as a person meet 100s of new people during my epic 22 weeks of work experience all over the country.

Bad Things:
Didn't get AAAA at AS level :p
Still have a broken(ish) 4890 that needs RMAing back to Aria
Been feeling sick for about 2 days now
Didn't go to enough parties
Got two rejections for Veterinary Science

Good Things:
Build this mean gaming machine Snigger
Fabulous trip to Barcelona with Geography
Went to Iceland for 2 weeks during the summer :clap

looking at that seems more bad things happened than good things :( I've been thinking of making a few changes to myself as a person at the start of 2010. Hoping to balance my school work better with my friends. :)

Pretty much the same as the past few years for me.

All i do is work, Workload has gone through the roof at the moment but im not complaining.
Ordered a CNC at work which is somthing to look forward too.

Sold the caravan so going to hire a cottage or somthing for a holiday this year.

Plod on as they say.

Good things.

-Played on my PC alot!
-erm...

Bad things.

-Redundant TWICE FFS!
-No hope for a new job at the mo as "experienced" is the name of the game. HELLO! How are we supposed to become experience if you wont employ us to become experienced? Retards!
-Selling up a fair amount of my toys.
-Moved back in with the flamin rents.
-cant get a job anywhere...

My year sucks! New years res.. If I can get sorted by next year ie 2011 I am splashing out on some rope and making good use of it.

Personally I think a caravan or a tent is the way to go. Expensive to get everything you need, but once you've got it all, you've got a fair few years of cheap holidays because you just pay for a pitch.

I agree, Ive been "caravaning" with my parents for years now and its a nice experiance.
Its just ive kinda grown our of it now and my dads not as young as he used to be. Plus its hell of a chore to get it all ready as we can only plan the one holiday a year due to the business. And then i still have to take a laptop and do a bit of work in the middle of nowhere!

We have a big tent if i just fancy going down south for the surf one summer, oh thats another reason for getting rid, The english weather!
But at the end of the day i dont really need a cheap holiday...Just a holiday will do me

Bad
-Full year of hate, pressure, and depression

Good
-You kiddin' me?

I'm 15 by the way... I don't get why my mum's always telling me I should be extremely happy compared to kids in Africa... WTF? I have stuff, therefore I'm happy? What a ****...

Seems to be a common theme that teenagers feel 2009 was crap. Getting older makes you take positives from everything, personally I've had a great year. Sure there were bumps along the way, but that is life, you speed along and every so often you hit a speedbump and things sometimes take a while to speed back up again on your own, and other times there is someone there to tow you along and get you back up to speed.

2010, bring it on!

DT.

i dont think thats the point she is tryin to make spleen, i know it seems like everybody is just talking down to you and are all full of **** when your that age but you need to know that you know sweet fa. not being an *** but when you realise that you will see how much more there is to life and learn more an more.

you think kids in africa are unhappy coz they dont have a pc or xbox? no they are unhappy coz almost all their familys is dying of hiv or other illnesses, starvation or being slaughtered by dictators in mass genocides. in some parts of africa more people have hiv/aids than dont but they are still poping kids out left right and center, what kind of life will they have being born with a death sentance.

we have it so easy in this country m8 you have no idea, only one better is france the ****ers.

Yeah I get you, but believe me there's so little to do and enjoy right now that I am gonna think about life a ****load, aren't I?

&I didn't necessarily mean that, what I mean is that despite the kind of crap they're put through, day in day out, some of them still manage to be happy and look positive, whereas I've suffered depression and mental illness for many years now... How?

We might have it easy, we're living and breathing, but 'happily ever after'? Oh no. For the record, this country is last in the EU for teenage QOL.

I'm just holding on to what I've got, and hoping the future's gonna be good.

i was abit older than you when i was as dissallusioned m8, we all get sold the dream as kids and we believe it, truth is you only get happily ever after in films and fairy tales. in the real world you dont get what you deserve and have to make the most of what you have. if you have a tallent sell yourself on it, if you dont know what yours is try as much as you can till you find it.

as for being happy, well you need to be unhappy to relish those fleating moments when you are truely happy but trust me they do happen from time to time and somtime from the most unexpected of places.

look after the little things in life and dont sweat the big and it all seems that little bit easier. when it gets hard just tell yourself tommorrow is another day and hope its better than today.

Started going downhill back when I started secondary... before then, I was happy - I figure it's 'cause of games such as Sonic 3 (epic game btw :D, still playing it today). Just want it to be like that again... I don't want anything else.

It doesn't help that I'm predicted A*s across the board, there's pressure put onto me 24/7; nothing's ever good enough for my parents. Hell, I'm on Bs and As at the moment, and apparently that's "inadequate", and I'm a "lazy sod who wants to do nothing with his life".

We're always told in class we're the ones who are gonna succeed and get £50k+ salaries, I couldn't give a flying **** about £50k+ salaries, all I'd spend it on is a decent guitar and a decent set of wheels ;)

Anyway, I should probably stop hijacking the thread. :)

Never get those fleating moments either anymore, can't wait to get out of here and get my own place.

Spleen from the sounds of it you sound like most of your 'stress' stems from your exams etc.

Take it from me if thats the most stress you go through in life you'll be lucky.

if you'd had a year like Monkey's or gone through some of the stuff I went through by the time i was 15 then you'd have reason to be miserable.

dont want to come across though your troubles are nothing but by the time you reach say 30 you'll look back and realise that you'd have been unhappy for no reason at all.
