Two trees came down within walking distance of me yesterday morning. One crushed a small car carrying a woman and two kids. There were only minor injuries, but I'm sure they're going to have a lovely Christmas this year...

Ambulances, police and a fire engine left the scene at about 10am, so I expect they were doing the school run, unless the kids have already stopped for Christmas hols. Not sure when that happens this year.

Down here in kent I think I have been lucky it would appear my home is right on the edge of the "storm" we only had about an inch on thursday night and nothing since. but towns like Maidstone etc around about 20 miles from me had about 6-8 inches.
