Hi, I've been looking for a new Graphics card for a long time now but I'm a bit overwhelmed by the number of choices and worry whether they would even work.

My computer is only a few years old (I think its three years old, would have to check) and it needs an upgrade pretty bad.
This is the computers info:

Graphics card:Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family (64MB)
CPU: Processor x86 Family 15 Model 3 Stepping 4 GenuineIntel ~2933 Mhz
RAM: 512 MB (I don't know what type)
OS: Windows XP home (SP2)
System type : X86

I have £155 to spend. I'm looking for a video card that works well with games (such as FarCry CoD2 GTA:SA DoW:DC)
It must also be easy to install, as I'm nervous enough when it comes to poking about the insides of computers (bad memories)

If you want to help and need any more information on my computer, please reply here or you may E-mail me, IM me or PM me.

Thanks for any help in advance.

I'm guessing its probably agp if it's 3 years old, not sure pcie was around then??

Assuming agp for around £150 you could get something reasonable, problem is though your price point is slap bang in the middle of an apparent void for agp cards the 7600gt is around £110 - £120 and the 7800gs is around £180 though this card is as good as it gets for agp. Having said that looking around it would appear ati will be doing the 1950pro on agp though atm it is pre order only.

Of course this is all assuming your motherboard is agp, you migh also have to upgrade your psu if you go for something towards the top end.

I think this is it : Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family.

Right now I'm having daydreams of saving my HD dumping this pre-built piece of junk and getting someone with tech know how to help me build an awesome gaming rig (sigh).
