Defragging is pretty pointless task really anyway, its not like you change many of your files often on an average pc.


Unless you run a file server or something i cant see the point in doing it more than once a year.

whats that program elrob? I used to have it, and then deleted it, and meant to try and find it again - never got round to it, and now ive forgotten what its called..

Getting off the subject a bit guys ! The reason your hard disk clunks is because the bearing is failing, if the drive is under warranty take it back and get a replacement. Nothing to do with defrag, but your drive is seriously fragmented which slows down access time. Clear out some junk then do a defrag.
