Right guys. My good old Netgear DG834GT is slowly breaking. The speeds over ethernet are fine, like 300kbps, but over wifi it's very random. It can vary from 100kbps to 8kbps.
I have seen the Netgear DGN2000 (http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Peripherals/Network+Products/Wireless/ADSL+Modem%2FRouter/Netgear+DGN2000+300Mbps+Wireless-N+ADSL2%2B+Modem%2FRouter?productId=33570)and it looks good.
I love the Netgear Interface. I can easily assign static IP's and put the PS3 in DMZ.
Are there any better routers for the money?
when i broke my 2nd DG834 i got a DGN2000 its been great so far!

Nice:)
I think I may end up getting this router!:)
Hi
you deffinatly ought to go with the wireless N 300mbps , especially if your gaming or streaming movies ect over the wireless.
The DGN2000 will be great but you will want to pair it with a matching Wireless N PC adapter for maximum performance:)
Scunny!
double NAT here, ADSL is handled with a DG834PN, which as described above simply overheats with many wireless connections. So in order to gigabit up the house, I've an Edimax BR-6574N which gives me cabled Gb and faster and more reliable wireless now the other one is flakey. All the intrusion detection etc is running on the netgear, so off on the edimax (to an extent) allowing a spread of the routing load. For the price, that was how I decided to go, yes it's one more device on, which is the downside to having a more secur based connection.

That's a very good idea, but for the price, £60-70 for the Netgear, I think the all in one solution is more convenient:).
I take it the web interface for the DGN2000 should be the same/almost identical to the DG834GT's?
Thanks for your help guys, Everyones been repped:)
