Awesome! They're desktop wallpaper worthy! Even the first three. ;) But I think the first one would actually be better if the boat wasn't visible. That's just personal though. The water is so clear!

I'm into photography too but can't afford a DSLR yet. I'm not too fussed to be honest though. I like some of the pics I've taken with my compact camera and work on the philosophy of "you don't need a big heavy camera to take good photos. All you need is a the right scene and a ken eye. And some form of camera, obviously."

The boat adds a sense of scale and depth to the picture though!

Welcome mate.

What camera you got?

I like the boat, and I especially like what appear to be a pair of pants. Makes it look like someone is out there somewhere having a swim.

hehe they aren't pants. It's a towel. There for a very specific reason. When your fly fishing (which is what we were doing) the spare line sits by your feet, that towel stops it getting tangled round the tieing eye on the boat.

A Sigma 10-20mm which was sadly sold to fund studio equipment!

Do you do anything to any of the photos after you've taken them, in photoshop etc for example?

Err depends entirely. All my shots I try to take as I want them to look in the finished product. So hopefully, as little as possible, but normally a bit of contrast, tad of saturation to make the image warm and welcoming...making sure the white balance is correct as well is always an easy thing to forget. Straightening as when holding the camera it might not always be at a perfect angle :p

That shot of the red head above is 2 images merged together though :)

I use Aperture and Photoshop :)

The red head image is 2 seperate images pasted together, I took the image with light coming from the left, then with the model and camera staying perfectly still I got my mate to move the flash to the other side, pasted em together in photoshop, but of touching up here and there and voila :)

Ah nice touch ! a double flash would have lost shadow in the centre :)

Yeah I think I can see the line across the middle, just above her eyes.

Oh wait a minute...

A simultanious flash would have lost the shadow in the middle yes, which this time, I quite like :)
