I installed the offical Adobe reader on Windows 7 and its tried to install Mcafee without asking me! if it wasn't for UAC catching the install prompt eveytime it tries it would have succeeded, :swear:

Did I ask for McAfee? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

sh*tware i like it!

this bit is very interesting

"3 – Very carefully read the light-grey text that says: “Adobe may use the Adobe Download Manager to seamlessly install your software.”"

Very clever!!

Adobe may use Adobe download manager to install sh*tware on your pc! SCANDALOUS!

Always have to be so careful when installing anything. You can't just keep mashing 'next' these days. Sneaky buggers!

I can remember an error hijacker which appeared on my mum's computer once. It was called Internet Optimizer. After a bit of reading on the web about it, I found out that in the EULA, it clearly states that they can install adware and stuff on your PC or something. I can't actually remember what it was now.

Lesson: Always read every word of the EULA when installing something. :)

Just set to default windows 7, i was going to turn it off orginally but it doesn't seem as constant as Vista was

Yeah, that's what mine is set at. It'll only appear when programs try to change system settings, not when you do it yourself.

I had to switch UAC off in windows 7 because it was causing problems with punkbuster.

UAC isn't very good anyway.
