The above 7600gt would be a decent coice, a tad over £100 (£106+pnp) but worth the extra few ££ in my honest opinion.
IF you can stretch to £120+pnp the 7900gs would be another BIG leap in performance http://www.aria.co.uk/ProductInfoComm.asp?ID=22692
thanks for the reply and it give me and idea of what to look for. ive searched the web and found a xfx7900gt for £130 so might go for that. but now onto the next dilemma. WHAT CPU do i go for a amd athlon 64 x2 4600 or a Intel 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo . im guessing the intel is a better processor but i can get a better motherboard £80 with the amd, the intel mother board is pretty basic £40 or if you have any better combinations i would be more then happy the hear them
thanks again :)

Hi all,
OK, I am in a similar situation to the original poster, I am building a new PC with ARIA and am unsure on what Graphics card to get, I guess it will be be a PCI-E card so anything for £100 or less I guess...I suppose I might be able to stretch to £120 for a worthy increase in performance...so any suggestions?

The Albatron 7600gt got rave reviews, Aria stock it too :) In some cases it was outpacing a 7800gt due to it's higher clock rate (but suffers at high resolutions like 1600x1200). That's currently 82 of your british pounds :)
As for the chip/motherboard situation I'd go with the Core 2 Duo E6600 coupled with the Gainward P965-DS3. It's on Anand's picks so it can't be bad, and that's what I'll be ordering at the end of the month :)
cheers for the reply, ended up purchasing a e6600 c2d and got a ati radeon x1950 pro for £130
thanks Marty
