I've not actually played elite. But I heard that Eve-Online which I have played takes a lot of cues from it.

Classic game, remember playing for hours trying to get enough cash for military lasers, think the highest rank i got to was deadly? Never quite made it to elite.

A few friends of mine, keep pecking my head to have a go on this *(they said it was very Elite'ish).

I remember playing Elite on my Amstrad CPC6128  - it was definately one of those games where you played on it and then realised you'd wasted half-a-day!
(bit Like WOW sometimes)

Well the Eve-Online Developers would often say that they wanted to make Elite-Online. The game has grown from there though. Basically if you want to play a modern Elite then Eve is probably it.

Loved playing Elite 2 on my amiga 500. Spent many a night trying to find a particular star system on the huge star map they provided in the packaging :)
