View Full Version : Graphics card for twin monitor set-up
I am looking for a AGP graphics card that will run two monitors, but I am having trouble locating one with 2 D-sub outputs.
I want to work with CAD/CAM on one screen and a text editor in the other so it is not just a case seeing the same on both.
Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
If you get one with a DVI and VGA output just grab one of these.

Takes a DVI output and gives you VGA back :)
Yeah any gfx card with 2 monitor connectors should do the job and most, if not all, will come with the necessary adapters to plug a dvi output into a vga monitor all the ones i have bought did anyway.

Depends how much you spend, but yeah; some will, some won't.

I already have a Radeon 9000 Series card with both a VGA & DVI output so one of these neat little gizmos should do the trick.
Thanks for the tip! :D
Thanks to Sean for the adaptor tip, it works a treat, and contrary to what \"blaineoliver\" says in the thread :-

You can use XP Home as I'm typing in TextPad on the RHS while viewing FireFox on the left.
This is going to make buiding web pages so much easier!
