I forgot to announce last week that I'll be leaving for a week. Been camping in Burnham-on-Sea and went to see the gorge and the caves at Wookey Hole and Cheddar.

My apologies i didn't bother clicking on the link :redface: as in the past when people have posted links to stuff on facebook until now i have had to sign in, which, as i don't have, nor do i want, a facebook account i couldn't access their pictures. Iassumed this would be no different.

Seem they weren't as thoughtful as yourself and only made theirs accessable to other facebookers.

looks like there were some serious breaches of "don't use flash" going on there Col LOL :D

None of those pictures were taken using a flash. The most interesting parts of the caves are all lit up. Some of the pics on Facebook which I haven't posted here had the flash on though, mainly due to changing camera modes where some require the flash. The first time the flash went off, I found out that it actually produced a darker picture than without, because the flash automatically disables light compensation on my camera so that the picture isn't too bright afterwards.

Many of the caves are in the gorge. The gorge is a big, er, gorge, kind of like the Grand Canyon of the UK. There is a narrow, twisting road which goes through the middle of it at the bottom.

6 hour drive for me. :) But that included an hour stop for food and baby changing.
