Hope you guys enjoy this, it took a while to make:

First of all Synthetic scaling of the chip:

These are synthetic results for the 720, and show the improvement as you add clock speed.

More On the way.

Far Cry 2 Benchmark

This is a very interesting one, because even down to 1600mhz, you can play on Full settings with a 4850 with playable FPS.

Max settings:

The Results show that overclocking past stock of 2800mhz with 4 cores unlocked does nothing to the FPS of any games currently out, on the HD4850, on more powerful cards, the clock would need to be higher, but as this shows, overclocks of the 3.5Ghz mark, are not needed except for encoding with the 4850, with the 4890 approx 30% faster, you would need a clock of about 840mhz on top to ensure you are not bottlenecking, assuming no other part of the system is the bottleneck.

You know aswell as I do, games such as half life 2 which can't use multiple cores, would suck @ 2.8GHz x4 compared with 3.5GHz x4

Nontheless thats very interesting with games that do (such as farcry 2)! So what your basically saying is that me spending days trying to work out good bus speeds and multipliers (for a high overclock) have been a waste of time :p

in games such as FC2, you can see that its playable at 1600mhz due to how well threaded it is, i will add more games soon.

Didn't I just say that? :p

I think I'll buy far cry 2 graphics look really sweet and game plays meant to be real good aswell!

Edit: Can I ask why FSAA x8 was sneaked on halfway through the benchies? :D

FSAA was put on to keep the fps lower, and so that i could increase gfx load without making the results GPU limited.

IMO Farcry 2 is a poor poor game.

Anyway nice benchies mate, but the Farcry 2 benchmark is at 1440 x 900 an 8800GT paired with any Core2Duo is overkill at that resolution, so a HD4850 is bound to get playable frames.
