Far Cry 2 Benchmark
This is a very interesting one, because even down to 1600mhz, you can play on Full settings with a 4850 with playable FPS.

The Results show that overclocking past stock of 2800mhz with 4 cores unlocked does nothing to the FPS of any games currently out, on the HD4850, on more powerful cards, the clock would need to be higher, but as this shows, overclocks of the 3.5Ghz mark, are not needed except for encoding with the 4850, with the 4890 approx 30% faster, you would need a clock of about 840mhz on top to ensure you are not bottlenecking, assuming no other part of the system is the bottleneck.
