That's not really anything new to me, articles like this were all over the place when multi-core processing was coming to the mainstream.

What's true then is true now: Multi-Core processing will only take you so far, because of software limitations you can't just keep adding cores.

idd, unless the software is multi core enabled we are still using one core :(

on the plus side some companies are making games etc with multi core now, some like TF2 have now been modified to do use more than a single core.

Tf2 originally used core 1 for gfx, and core 2 for effects. Not sure now.

Well alot of the software i use makes use of all four cores

Photoshop
3DS MAX
db poweramp
Our graphics engine uses 2 cores so far
Can't think of anything else, not been on my pc in 3 wekas you know
