I have a desktop with SATA and IDE H/Ds.
I have just got a laptop which I will run wirelessly.
I want to access the H/Ds on my desktop from my laptop.
How can I do this ?
Also, I have Virgin media Broadband, I want to choose the correct router.
I want to be able to run my laptop and a PS3 wirelessly.
Which would be the best option as my head starts to spin when reading about them all.
Thanks

You'll need to setup sharing on your folders/drives you wish to access, you'll also need to map the network drives from within my computer to access them on the laptop.
It first seems quite complicated but trust me it's very easy once you done 1 drive.

Found it TP-Link.
Whats the difference between yours and a 4 port one with 2 antennae?
Does it mean you can run more things through it?
Basically yeah, and a better wireless signal
all you need to do is for xp, set up file and printer sharing, and in vista turn on folder sharing, not sure on the exact term as im in hospital
Make sure both pc's are in the same workgroup, right click on the folder you want to share and enable that folder to be shared on the network, simply by ticking a box and choosing a name/path.
Anything ive missed, google wont have :p
Good luck!

Did you end up buying this? managed to set it all up okay?
Sounds kinda sad but when you set up your first network and get it working how you want it its a real buzz lol.
