Can anyone recomend a nice Data Recovery prog...?
I need it to be able to try recover deleted data, after a Virus has had its wiked way with the HDD.
Dunno whether running an undelete proggy would do it...as I would prolly have to insert, the Knackered drive as a slave.
Any Ideas...???
Cheers....!

Worst comes to worst, have a look online for one of those places that tear the hard drive apart and read off the data from the plate inside or something.
Then give the guy who didn't backup his data a swift kick in the go nads

Yep agreed mate....Guy who's lost all data will, also be recieving a £250 quid kick in his spare Nads if he wants to go down that route...!
Cheapest Quote I've had so far..!
I think we have to ask the question at this point...\" Just how important is your data..? \"
Love it when I get the chance to chastise adults for not backing up data, though...lol..
There really should be a naughty corner for em.
Cheers Mighty...
I've used Stellar Phoenix (http://www.stellarinfo.com/disk-recovery.htm) with excellent results (i.e. I recovered everything), when a wedding photographer friend of mine \"lost\" one of his drives with 2 unfinished weddings on it.
The above program is a free demo to download and try so that you can see what it can recover, then if what you want is shown at least you'll have the choice to pay for the full version to do so.

if you really need the data, try www.retrodata.co.uk and ask for duncan. he's cheap and excellent and has always given me top advice on data recovery. if it's important, don't mess with it, just ghost a copy and work on the copy...
