Windows Vista Update Problem

I recently reinstalled windows vista on my desktop pc. Since the fresh install I cannot update my computer at all. I have since manually installed SP1 which made no difference I also found an article on the knowledge base about starting services and stuff but that didn’t make a difference.

So basically it’s found 77 updates that need to be installed but when it attempts to install them the green bar stops moving and the download process freezes. Sometimes the windows update window goes white and doesn’t respond.

any more information is needed just ask.

Totally stuck would really appreciate a hand!

Go for another reinstall and this time put on Windows 7 RC1 ;)

I've also had a bit of a funny occurance with windows vista auto updates

I loaded fallout 3 to show my brother, and I had to do a windows live update, same for GTA IV (the one update worked for both games obviously)

And now, vista keeps saying I need to install windows live V3, so I do, and it just keeps popping up over and over
