To find the cheapest pre-order price on PC & XBOX 360.

So far PC £30

They are just going to rip off the people who must play the game straight away and then drop the price. I find it almost impossible to justify spending more than £30 on a game, and when I spend £30 it has to be a great game like Half-Life.

Bans their live accounts doesn't it?

Yeah it just bans your XBox 360 from going on LIVE ever again.

Each XBox 360 has an individual ID, all Microsoft does every couple of months is send an update to the XBox (not optional whether you want it or not) this then checks the firmware on the DVD drive, the individual key of the XBox and finally spins the disc up that is in the DVD drive, if any doesn't match what they have then you get banned, or if the disc isn't recognised as genuine you get banned.

If you play on your own fine, it costs £30 to get it done and you can download your own games.

There are a few people on various XBox forums who claim that they have never been banned, but every few months there loads of people whinging they got banned.

As i said 9/9 people who i know got it done, 2 from someone who claims never to have been banned, have been banned.

This is why an Xbox can never be my main gaming machine. Not enough freedom.

Its OK as I dont really play online games using the 360 so getting banned dont bother me that much.

I do know a few people that have been banned and I know one or two that haven't too. Think its the luck of the draw if you do or dont.

Thought this comment on the site was amusing! :chairfall:

""We need more money in the UK..."
"I've got a solution!.....raise the price to £55 for a GAME and increase the amount of people who will pirate it!....I mean it's not like piracy will increase if we make the price silly will it."
"That's a brilliant idea!....lets do it!""

Yeah is permanent cannot be hacked or altered, the motherboards and mac address get added to the naughty list.

Ditto. I'm very much looking forward to RFG, but at about the price of £30 I need a demo first. I think it's cheaper from Play or Amazon, but it's still something like £25.
