The reason why I'm thinkin this is coz I have SLi set up and also selected \"Show GPU load balancing\" which means you see the activity of the 2 graphics card loading, this only shows up when you run applications using the graphics cards, such as 3dmark and games. Anyway the first time I ran 3dmark06 I saw the GPU load balancing and scored 7900+. Then some days later I ran it again, this time I didnt see the balancing thing (although it was selected in the Nvidia panel) and ended up scoring 4500+ on 3dmark06. However when I go into the Nvidia properties bit, disable SLi (it was enabled) then enable it back then its fine scoring 7900+ again.

I also tried going into the bios to disable the PEG Link, that didnt help. It just randomly turns off SLi when it wants to, the way I know its off is when I dont see that balancing thing coming up when I run a game. Anyone had simular problem? I've searched high and low for my answer but I have no luck, even asked in the asus forum and some guy replied

\"As for poor performance in benchmark tools: Somtimes if overclocking, your card will get too hot and be throttled down and thus run slower. Also, if your proc is not fast enough to provide the extra frames for your cards, benchmarks will be less than stellar. \"

which to me didnt make any sence or helped me out. I checked the temp of the cards, never reached over 70c on load.

So do you think I have a faulty mobo? btw I have an Asus P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe mobo, I've upgraded the firmwire which didnt help.

Thank you for reading :P

What cards are in the SLi setup? Also, It does seem to me to be a mobo or bios problem, but as you said, you flashed it. Just an odd thing, switch the cards places, and if it keeps turning off, find someone else's mobo you can try the SLi in. If these fail, and you have money to spend, get a new mobo.

I can confirm that it is my motherboard that is faulty, there was another person with the same mobo as me and he tested on 3 different power supply (he thought it might be the power supply) but seems to be the same. He then changed his mobo keepin every other thing the same and SLi works perfectly. Now, I've had this mobo for less then 1month, can I still return to aria? perhaps for a different mobo, I'm confident that there is a fault in all the P5N32-SLi-SE deluxe and happy for aria to test it.

Please some1 get back to me as soon as they can.

Many thanks.

and looking at what aria has atm, there are only 2 mobo that supports SLi and duo2core but have to add around £100

Ya, I think i'll do that.As far as I can see problem doesnt lay on this individual mobo, its all the same mobo with the same problem. A guy on asus forum had the same mobo, tested it and had the same problem. Another guy mentioned something about on boot up they see 16-1-1-1-1 but in order for SLI it should be 16-16-1-1-1 (something like that). went into the bios cant change it to 16-16-1-1-1.

Any idea of a decent mobo to support core 2 Duo and SLI around £120?

PS for some reason aria dont stock the Asus P5N32 SLI Deluxe SE no more.
