ok, I've been thinkin over and over but i can not decide wat to do, so I'll post here perhaps get some help :D

I have the Asus P5N32 SLI Deulxe SE and 2x7900 GS extreme.

Question is, shell I sell them and get a new mobo with 680i chipset and 8800GTS (single). Reason why I'm thinking to do this is coz of directx 10, but isit worth doing this now? or shell I wait alittle longer for the next generation of dx10 gfx cards?

[quote:6ee4ae2a92=\"PrivatePyle@Work\"]definitely wait imo mate - you don't need DX10 now - when you start to, the cards will inevitably be a higher spec, and 2x7900's will easily tackle anything you throw at them for the time being. patience m'boy![/quote:6ee4ae2a92]

Sound advice from our man PP on the ball as usual!!

I also concur with the guys above. What you have at the moment is perfectly fine, and it wouldn't be a wise move to upgrade until the computer hardware pond has settled as it were.

I agree dx10 prolly isn't worth it at the moment, nothing uses it currently, and it'll get cheaper in time :)

I would normally agree BUT there are some games out there that rape the current top end(ish) gfx cards even at modest resolutions, 1280x1024 as i use, with all the eye candy set to max. I am currently selling my 1900xtx (already sold elsewhere before anyone asks, would have asked on here but we aren't allowed to sell 2nd hand stuff hint hint) to buy an 8800 of some sort, simply because i like the eye candy as high as possible and the 1900 is starting to struggle, 40 fps in some games eg NFS carbon and Darkstar One to name 2 that i own causes lag judder whatever you want to cause it so it might be worth upgrading to \"DX10\" cards now.
