View Full Version : Grand Canyon, how did he get there

This guy is standing on this solitary(!!) rock IN the Grand Canyon. The canyon's depth is 900 meters here. The rock on the right is next to the canyon and safe.

Watching this guy on his thong sandals, with a camera and a tripod I asked myself 3 questions:-

1. How did he climb that rock ?
2. Why not taking that sunset picture on that rock to the right, which is perfectly safe ?
3. How will he get back ?



I have the answer and it post it after some guesses :thumbsup:

To me the shadow of the man doesnt seem to match the shadow of the rocks

Assuming its real he absailed down from helicopter or climbed up.

long plank of wood to create a bridge which his mate (who is taking the photo of the photographer) moved, before taking the picture to create the illusion? :D

Hes actually made up of gas, that's controllable and can form any shape or colour, almost as if it has a mind of its own???

Well, am i close?

EDIT: oh he just jumped... it looks like a bit of camera trickery, as if the rock on teh right is actually lower, i know its not but it crossed my mind

He is really there. Dubious as to how he got there, but he is there.

here is the answer, all i'll say is CRAZY MOFO! especially with his tripod and his camera under his arm! he lands only using one hand

THere is a ledge just underneath where the photo cuts off, so his fall wouldn't be 900M, still a brave idiot though.

I think it's probably an optical illusion. The rock on the 'right' is actually behind the rock he is on, so standing there would ruin the shot as you would have a rock in front.

Amirite?

EDIT: Oh sorry, didn't refresh the thread before posting :p I was right though.
