I recently bought a new Geforce 5500 AGP card from Aria when the fan died on my last, now it worked perfectly in my previous motherboard. Then when my old MOBO decided to die too I then purchased an ASROCK P4i65G MOBO, again from Aria.

The problem I have is that when I insert the card into the corresponding slot on the MOBO my system fails to boot and there is no signal getting to the monitor.

I have tried my partially dead Geforce MX440 and that works fine, please can someone help with this problem as ASROCK and NVIDIA have both failed to help and I have a £50 Graphic Card sat in its box doing nothing, while being only able to play Football Manager 2007 on my PC seeing as the Onboard VGA is totally incompetant.

Please, please, please help!!!!!!!!

is the agp setting ready for X8 speed? and old card will run on the different voltage at agp X4 or less. Go into your bios, disable the onboard vga, make sure the agp slot is on X8 and restart, that should work. if not im stumped.

There is no option in the bios to disable onboard vga, can only do that through Device Manager.

Ok. dont try and disable it, but try the X8 speed AGP and see if that works, i would assume your bios auto switches between adaptors, so just plug and try it.

Can't find anywhere in the bios to change the 8x option.

Thanks for the suggestion, Yes I am plugging it into the correct port, casue its not so much that there is no signal getting to the monitor, its more the fact that when I install the VGA Card into the AGP Slot on the motherboard it must conflict and prevents the system from booting correctly, therefore the 'No Signal' display on my monitor.

Tried clearing the CMOS and that didn't work either.

Anymore suggestions, thanks.
