nice numbers! :D
Just a request... next time you post some screenshots, any chance you could just post the windows that are relevant, and not your whole desktop - I've just moved house and im still on 56k at home till the BB gets connected.. took ages to get that image! ;) :D
sorry aaron :oops:
didnt think 56k existed anymore :lol:
thanks rob :D downloading bf2142 via ealink now and will test that soon :wink:
btw the graphics test on 3d mark never went below 30 fps
and i saw it go to as high as 70 :O
Battlefield 2142 = Max settings everything!!!!
resolution = 1280 x 1024
and FPS NEVER dropped below 60 FPS :D
most of time up at 90's
absolute quality card :D came with free t shirt and stickers :wink:

lol, np mate :)
56k certainly does still exist, although hopefully not for much longer in my house!!!
Overclocked the card to 625mhz core and 950mhz memory :)
absolute monster!! :lol:
Heehee nice one what are the stock speeds and whats the new score??
stock speeds = 500mhz core and 800mhz memory
now overclocked cpu to 2.7ghz
core now = 625mhz
memory now = 1000mhz
3dmark06 = 8673
:D much better man

no your not a n00b mate you just don't understand that there is more to a gfx card than raw speed.
I was going to go on about pixel pipelines and vertex shaders and such but even nvidia doesn't quote them for the 8800 series of graphics cards so i can only assume they are designed completely differently to the current cards.
http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce_7800.html (7800specs)
http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce_8800.html (8800specs)
About the only thing they do quote the same is memory bandwidth / interface and texture fill rate, if you check those out you will see the 8800 can shift alot more data about and therefore give a lot higher amount of frames per second.
Dunno how Stream processors compares to pixel pipelines though??
edit seems pp beat me to it, so the stream processors ARE pixel pipelines, hmmm big jump from the 7950 to the 8800, nice.
btw when i say core = 625mhz and memory = 1000mhz now
the memory is 1000 (2000)
so ur 1097 is really 550ish
and its now running 100% at
core = 625mhz
memory = 1000mhz (2000)
and it can run anything thrown at it with ease
lastnite got min of 80 FPS on battlefield 2142 after some more tweaking :P
