View Full Version : Case Fan
I recently got a 12cm fan for the back of my case :)
lovely little thing :P
this is gona sound right stupid, but which way do i put it?
when i plug it in, lots of cold air comes from one side of the fan
does this point inwards towards the mobo etc
or out the back of the case?
when u power on, keep ur finger in it stoppin it from movin, and then let it go, that will tell u which way.
are u having a laugh with me? how will that tell me? :(
u just want me to hurt myself oliver :x
Check the body of the fan 99% of them have arrows on them (look closely as they aren't always obviuos as they are moulded into it) or failing that do as you have done and power it up to see which way the air is being blown.
Rear case fans are generally used to blow air OUT of the case and front and side case fans blow air INTO the case.
Don't go sticking your finger in it it might hurt if its a powerful fan, ask PP
HAHA,
all i know is when i turn it on 1 side gives out a crap load of air
and the other side not any at all
im guessing it must blow out then
but why would the wires etc be on other side
argh so confusing
